Kaizen - Equipment Assembly Eductor Line

As you may have seen, our Kaizen team, comprising Eddie, Sarah, Yarisvelt, Alexis, and assisted by Jesse, Jorge, Doc, and his team, has been hard at work once again. Although our goal was to get the black eductor line in proper flow, perhaps achieving a one-piece flow, build in quality, removing any waste, and somewhat mimicking the manifold line (from the last Kaizen), we have completed much more.

By relocating the eductor lines to the position where the manifold line receives them, and repositioning the cabinet build lines to the back of the production room, we have created over 524 square feet of additional production and storage space. There are a few things we still need to accomplish, but we are well on our way to a significant improvement.

Picnic was a success! Very hot, but a lot of fun! Thanks to all that worked so hard to plan and make it happen! Thank you all that came, played, ate, and enjoyed themselves.

No work Monday, September 1. This is to celebrate the holiday of Labor Day.

What is Labor Day?

Annual celebration to honor and recognize the American labor movement.

When did Labor Day begin and why?

On September 5, 1882, a pivotal moment in history occurred when 10,000 workers marched from City Hall to Union Square, New York City, marking the birth of Labor Day. The widespread railroad strike and boycott known as the Pullman Strike in 1894 resulted in considerable violence and federal intervention. In June of that year, President Cleveland acknowledged the importance of the American labor movement by establishing Labor Day as a national holiday to be celebrated on the first Monday of September.
