Lean Journey
Hi Team!
My responsibilities have shifted to better support the company. Due to organizational changes within PIC, I am currently supporting EA in a PIC capacity. Our objective is to implement Lean principles throughout PIC.
Eddie and the team have started a kaizen in Equipment Assembly, focusing on the Quattro Select feedline. As always, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Inventory improvements. You’ll soon see the great changes they put in place.
Our 6S teams are doing a great job. Let’s work together to make even more improvements.
Shipping is leading the way right now, consistently raising the bar with their improvements.
Air Logic and J-Fill are strong contenders, steadily building momentum. With continued progress, they could soon claim the top spot.
Molding has made fantastic progress on their 6S journey. Keep up the great work, team—we see your efforts and celebrate them!
EEP has already completed 15 improvement tasks as of Monday, July 20. Keep those great ideas coming to help KALOE reach new heights! Need a card? Grab one from the board, ask your supervisor, or use our new QR code to email your idea/issue.
Quality Connection
First and foremost, thank you for welcoming me to the Knapp & Air Logic family and for the support you've shown during my first few months. Joining this team has been one of the easiest career decisions I've made because it's clear there are talented people here who genuinely care about doing the right thing and helping this company succeed. I'm excited to be part of our next chapter of growth, improvement, and success, and I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue building a culture where quality isn't owned by one department—it's owned by all of us.
One of our biggest milestones this year is our ISO 9001 Recertification Audit this October. Rather than something to fear, I see it as an opportunity to showcase the great work we do every day. Auditors aren't looking for perfection—they're looking for consistency. They want to see that we do what we say we do, and that we have the evidence to support it. That's where each of us plays an important role.
Checklists, work instructions, and documented records aren't about creating paperwork—they're about helping us do the right things the first time, every time, reducing variation, and making continuous improvement possible. Our goal isn't standardization for the sake of standardization. Our goal is repeatable excellence. The best processes don't limit people—they capture our collective knowledge so everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
As we prepare for October, I encourage each of us to take ownership of our processes, ask questions, share ideas, and continue building a quality culture we can all be proud of. I truly believe our best days are ahead, and I'm excited to be on that journey with all of you.
